After Sunday's fiasco I decided to re-evaluate my equipment.... I took every piece of electrical equipment and tested it to see if it worked. If temp was involved I tested that for accuracy including all my old and new (gotta love Amazon Prime same day delivery) thermometers.
Results:
one thermometer in the trash (6 degrees off)
one immersion blender in the trash (already replaced)
one crock pot in the trash (not replacing as PC has that function)
one dehydrator in the trash (lowest temp was 168F)
one Cuisinart ice cream maker in the trash (motor on its last legs)
one POS induction burner retired to garage (only useful for searing, won't hold a temp steady)
13 white kitchen towels
*one wife banned from the kitchen in perpetuity (not to be discussed at this time)
The shiny spot was in organizing my pots and pans I found the item pictured below

yes to many it is an expandable rack to hold lids to pots and pans......however, to the twisted souls of SV this is the ultimate rack to go in the cambro. As i picked it up to go in the Goodwill box I realized I had been searching for something this functional forever. You can adjust it for the thickest steaks to the thinnest cutlets..
Now I need some recommendations on new equipment (*this part deals with wife banning mentioned previously).
an induction burner that functions properly
a deep fryer that will hold the right temp
A wife that doesn't ask why I need these things
a dewars container
an ice cream maker that doesn't use "frozen bowls"
a case of Zinfandel
a blender
hands that work properly
a good thermometer, any one tried the one with the bluetooth probes?
herea proper coffee set up (my wife uses K-Cup yikes)
Thanks in advance for everyones input...
