There is a company that has created two things: Le Whif and Le Whaf. I read about this a while back, and honestly forgot all about it, however, recently, I was refreshed about it, and began doing some research. The two products create a fine vapor, which is then inhaled, to give the flavor of whatever the food or drink is used to create it. They are/(were?) marketed
1. as a disposible inhaler
2. as a make-it-yourself vapor topping for beverages.
The problem with these is just the specialized containers to to be used with the device are difficult to find for sale and are around 160 USD. I have yet to locate the actual device the creates the fog for purchase, however, I can only imagine how much that would cost. I located a business that makes ultrasonic fogging equipment (what the le whif/le what are created from) that are affordable. While the units are often sold with agricultural intent, there was some discussion regarding use for humidification, and some culinary implications.
I am wondering if there is anyone here who has experience with the two products from above, or with ultrasonic fogging technology in general. When my unit arrives (next week according to the order) and I have a chance to play around with it, i'll report back any information: useful or otherwise.
Best regards,
Brian
