How do I get the Premium member's discount on Joule?

I pre-ordered a joule and as such became a premium member of ChefSteps. In an earlier post it was stated that premium members can preorder the joule for $209. I wanted a second one, does anyone know how to do the $209 preorder? All I see are links to the $229 preorder. Thanks in advance.

Also, I am looking at a suction vacuum sealer - not chamber - due to space and budget. Anyone have any experience with the Vacmaster Pro 350?

No experience with the 350, but I'd consider just using zip locks and water displacement until you're ready to go in on a chamber. I completely understand the barriers of space and budget, but I use my chamber more than almost anything else in my kitchen. If it was an edge sealer, it would probably only work for about 10% of those applications, and water displacement would work almost as well on those. I'd argue that water displacement lets you do more than an edge sealer even. My chamber is in the basement, so not super convenient but helps with the space issue. If you hold off on the edge sealer, you've got a nice kitty towards a chamber. Just use water displacement while you save.

Hey Richard, I own the VacMaster VP112S, which I got for $525, and I love it. So far I think I got the best bang for the buck, over other VacMaster models. And I save so much on pouches I reached ROI within the first few months (over buying expensive ribbed clam shell sealer pouches). I'm a single person, but also a bulk food buyer, so I probably vacuum seal 150 portions a month. Sous vide + VP112S has changed everything!

Dan, One quick question. With your VP 112S, do you adjust the actual vacuum pressure the machine draws and does the machine digitally count up pressure in the chamber when under operation...or does the user just adjust a timer for how long the vacuum will run and the machine digitally counts down the time the vacuum will run in the cycle (i.e., no display of pressure in the chamber). I have seen videos on youtube of the VP 112S doing both things and there was one negative review on the VacMaster website from December saying they had changed the machine, but neither updated the website or the manual to reflect the changes. I was curious which functionality the machine actually had. I appreciate any insight you could provide.

I'm just going to throw this out here because i'm surprised and pleased. I picked up this item http://www.amazon.com/Ziploc-Vacuum-Starter-3-Quart-1-Pump/dp/B003UEMFUG and its brilliant, simple and effective. used it for the 72 hour short ribs and the 45 minute salmon. Worked perfectly, takes up little room and feels aligned w/ the simplicity of Sous Vide:-)

I spoke with VacMaster and they have changed the VP112S to only run on time and not the pressure sensor. They explained that customers at different altitudes or even weather conditions (barametric changes) could run into sealing problems. They said this issue is alleviated by running the vacuum pump for fixed time intervals and would be restoring the analog vacuum gauge to the VP112S design, but not until 2017. As such, VacMaster recommended the VP120 as a better model that would have all of these features currently integrated...it just lacks the marination cycle.

Richard, sorry I didn't get back to you right away. Sounds like you've gotten quite an education since your initial question, so I trust you're enjoying your unit chamber sealer now. I'd love to hear how things turned out for you! Incidentally, my 112S only counts down vacuum pump run time and doesn't have the actual gauge. I'd prefer to have the gauge.
