Hello all. I thought it would be interesting to see everyone's kitchen set up. What stays out on the counter? What goes in the cabinet/shelf? How do you like to organize yourself? If interested, post some photos.

I'm in the minimalist camp with a Vitamix, LaPavoni for coffee, stand mixer, knife block, board, toaster, a crock with utensils/tasting spoons, and the following I use regularly stacked near the range: salt/pepper mix, finishing salt, olive oil, finishing olive oil, neutral oil, sherry vinegar.

All cookware are on hooks on a rack attached to the ceiling.

When we remodeled our kitchen, we left 6 inches of dead space behind our cabinets, allowing us to float the counter top over, providing nice wide 31" counters. The beauty is you can store some of the aforementioned appliances in the back and have working room in front of them.

This is what i leave on my counter, looking to purchase a Grant sous vide and a Pacojet within the next year maybe two years for the Pacojet! fingers crossed

Just the espresso machine and knives on a magnetic pyramid holder stand thing are out in the open. Everything else is kept in the pantry or appliance hutch (cupboard with an outlet in it). Chamber vac is in the laundry room which is next to the pantry. Spices are all in labelled metal tins in a drawer.

I'm in a 750 sq ft apartment finishing my undergrad so my counter space is limited. What helps me stay organized is keeping the original packaging for most of my tools. I always put my Isi back into the box and store it with my other stuff. I have half of a shelf dedicated to my tools and includes my pasta maker, my immersion blender and my food processor. I keep my Polyscience Chef Series in its included carrying case and put the whole thing inside my larger cambro container and store it in the closet in our spare room along with my smaller cambro and a plastic storage container that holds all of my grilling supplies. The only things that get left out on my (very limited) counter space are my cutting boards. My wife complains that she has no closet room in our spare room because it's taken by all of my cooking gear!

I thought this was an interesting thread so I snapped a photo of my kitchen set up last night. Just moved into this house recently but didn't waste much time modernizing the kitchen equipment! We have a pair of SousVide Supremes, a couple ISI whips, torch, suction sealer and my new favorite, the Bellini Kitchen Master which is just like the Thermomix but 1/3 the price! Also have a home made liquid nitrogen bowl on the left, kitchen scale from the Bellini and a VP112 chamber sealer in the garage

My modernist cuisine has yet to be unpacked but I'll get to that soon now that I have all this space to play around with!

Jack Mayer it's the VP-210, I have ordered the 215 which should be arriving shortly to replace this one. Nothing wrong per say with the 210 but i'd like a stronger vacuum offered by the 215, faster vacuum, and less noise.

The Breville smart oven is amazing, I just cooked a wellington in it and it came out beautiful. It pretty much replaced my regular oven unless i'm making pizza since the steel I have doesn't fit in the breville

Next on my list is a combi oven.

Only thing that's a constant fixture on my counter is the stand mixer. Everything else gets tucked away in cupboards for economy of space. Oh the joys of apartment living!

TIny kitchen here with only about 3 feet of counter space so I must keep stuff stored away, which drives me insane (or more insane I should say.)

My sous vide rig and most of my sausage making and meat curing equipment stay set-up on the enclosed porch.

I imagine that you would not want to do this and leave it on the counter but in restaurants and here at ChefSteps, we plastic wrap all equipment that we are not going to be using for a while. Once its washed you wrap it up and put it away. That way its clean even after a season.

I can say what on my counter at home and that is almost nothing. Mixer, espresso machine and some tools. Other wise I pull stuff from the cabinets as I need it. Keeps everything cleaner that way and makes it easier to clean the counters.

Only my Vita-prep stays on the counter along with my induction cooktop, but then again my kitchen is wide open with no cabinet per say, I just have access to my vacuum chamber, toaster oven, circulator, and blender.

The slow cooker, stand mixer, food processor, panini press stay under the kitchen island for when needed.

In one cabinet i keep my spices, sorted by types (herbs, powders, salts, peppers, etc), another cabinet contains all the liquids (Soy, Tabasco, Worcestershire, etc), and another cabinet holds all the baking things (Invert sugars, Glucose, Chocolates, Vanilla beans, etc)

Then I have open wire racks where I store my equipment and specialty items (Kelcogel, Acids, Sodium Hexametaphosphate, etc)

Will do when I get home. I have way too many spices out, chamber, blender and two circulators are always out as well as a kitchen aid, rice cooker, coffee grinder and a few other things, I have a dedicated "prep" and work area opposite the stove.
