Delayed cook with ice water

Could one conceivably bag a steak, drop it in a pot of ice water with the Joule, leave the house and start it remotely...with the goal of having it cooked once you get back?

If you leave at 8am but don't want to start the cook until 11am...the thought it that the ice water would keep the steak at a safe temp, and once triggered, the unit would gradually heat and cook the steak.

I think you can do that if you can remotely start joule

Might be easier to cook the evening prior, chill and warm upon your arrival home. Lessens the risk of bacteria formation.
