I wanted to see if there are any Chefs (professional/up and coming) in the New York City area that are able to help a Startup? We are in the process of developing a product/app that will basically let you hire a private chef to come to your home and cook/prep a restaurant quality meal without leaving the comfort of your home. We wanted to basically speak to a Chef to get some advice and figure out a direction for our product.
As you know there are already competitors out there with the same idea/concept. Most of the competitors out there right now are using an On Demand Model which basically means the customers get a pre-set menu cooked at their homes. We're trying more of a Chef Marketplace Model where basically customers can book chefs for private parties/events and the menu is set by the chef and customers. What we are going to do differently is also include a nutritionist and/or health expert with the chef. Not only are we helping them cook an awesome meal but we also wanted to educate the customer about healthy eating and how to cook, prep, and shop for healthy options.
