Does anyone have a source for reasonably priced sous vide closed cell foam tape? Food grade would be nice! What are you guys at CS using?

In most cases the product is foam weather strip tape. You can find it at any big box hardware store.

Closed cell self adhering foam tape that will allow you to insert a thermometer into whatever you are cooking in an SV bag while it's still cooking. It doesn't let the water enter the bag even after you remove the thermometer.

You're welcome! Like @Tim_Sutherland_52834 suggests below, I suspect this product (and others like it) are just rebranded weather strip tape, but buying from JB Prince gives me peace of mind I can't get from a hardware store.

Thats my exact feeling @Brandon_Byrd_40557 I went to Home Depot and found some that would probably work fine...but the idea of putting a probe through construction material into my food made me raise my eyebrow. The JB Prince purchase will ease my concerns, even if the foam is identical. It's all about perception
