What would be nice is if it could keep it cold during the day and at a specific time or with the app you could switch to heating that way it's ready when you get home.

The best way to do this is with the Mellow Sous Vide machine. I especially like the built-in scale feature. The cooker has a temperature range of 35°F to 192ºF. When the unit was first announced it had a 850 watt heater, but they have since upgraded it to 1000 watts, which is more in line with other Sous Vide machines.
