My Sous Vide Professional Creative Has Gone Nuts!

I bought a Sous Vide Professional Creative Series in February. Since I'm in Canada I couldn't buy it from Chefsteps so I bought it from the Canadian distributor. So, I'm not looking for product support from the Chefsteps guys, but I'm hoping that someone else on the forum may have some suggestions on this problem.

When I fired the unit up today it told me that the water temperature was 5 C, even though the water is near room temperature. When compared with my Thermopen the circulator is reading about 30 degrees C low. This was a very sudden change as it was fine last time I used it.

I suspect the temperature probe is toast and needs replacing. I've sent the manufacturer an email and I suspect they'll cover it under warranty but they're closed for the weekend so I couldn't talk to anyone.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks. This morning the Canadian distributor responded to my email (on a Sunday too), and asked me to send it back. So, back it goes & me without a Sous Vide rig. Bummer.

@Dennis — This sounds like something that PolyScience is going to have to replace.

Maybe. But the owners manual for the creative series doesn't say that you can do that. You can for the Chef series, but not the creative?
