In March 2026, the Joule app will no longer work with your Joule Sous Vide. Whether you’re using it to cook or searching for inspiration, you’ll need to switch to the Breville+ Cooking app. The Breville+ Cooking app is currently available in the US, Canada and Australia. If you're in select European countries, expect support for your Joule by March 2026.
With Breville+ Cooking, you’ll get:
- The ability to cook with or without WiFi anywhere, anytime.
- Live recipe progress right on your lock screen.
- Custom recipe creation.
- Six months of Studio Pass—free!
Here’s how to pair:
- If you’ve ever cooked with your Joule Sous Vide, you have a Joule app account email. You’ll need this info to proceed.
- Download the Breville+ Cooking app. Already have Breville+ Cooking? Make sure your app is updated.
- Create an account using the same email address from Step 1. You've always needed an account to operate your Joule Sous Vide with the Joule app. This is not a new requirement.
- Plug in your Joule and start the pairing process.
- The app will let you know if you need to update your firmware. We’ll only make you update if your Joule really needs it. (If you do require an update, you’ll need to be on Wi-Fi. Once updated you can cook using Bluetooth only.)
- Complete the pairing process.
- Be sure to read the onboarding tips to get the lay of the land.
