Lack of Transparency

Reading through the posts, it is really quite clear (pun intended) that the biggest gripe is indeed the lack of transparency. Show us a project plan; show us milestones; show us something. I know that you must have something to keep us informed. Thank you.

I would even go as far as being ok with hearing, "unfortunately things have not gone in our favor and we at are looking at a much longer window to begin shipping than we had anticipated" or "we think we have worked out all of the issues we were facing and have re-submitted an application with the all appropriate government agencies, unfortunately the application process can take anywhere from 3 months to 1 year". I wouldn't ask for a refund. I still want my Joule. When you owe someone money and your down on your luck, you still communicate with them and let them know regularly what is going on with you and when you might anticipate being able to repay them. Sometimes every communication is to inform them that your still broke. But at least you make them feel like your not blowing them off and owe them money.

How about they show you a ship date?

(Edit - Since words come across so poorly, let me state that I am teasing here. I got kicked in the pants personally in some other threads pretty hard for my poor attempts to communicate the progress as I understood it, and it's nice to have a ship date as something definitive to point to.)

I don't think they get to control it. They are at the mercy of a government agency to re-evaluated the product. This being the case, they can not reliably say when it will be available to ship.
