Piping Tips and equipment

G'Morning!

In a number of the recipe and technique videos, ingredients
are piped using some tips I have yet to find (Banana Custard at Home video).
What equipment and tips are used therein? I want to make the custard recipe, but the
cake decorating tips I have are a pain.

I rarely ever use a tip. I just snip off the end of the bag at an angle and pipe away. I've always found tips to be a pain in the ass to clean.

If you're after certain looks, you pretty much have to go with a tip; I'm thinking of the various star tips ... I think the couplers are the real pains to use.
