there was discussion of making the app voice compatible, but that was here on the forum. I'm uncertain if anything came of it (so far) in development.

I'd bet this comes out soon.

For the 4th, my friend had a voice controlled, BT connected flamethrower. It's really nice seeing a flamethrower respond to the words, "Go fuck yourself, Max."

This was discussed back in May when we were in Seattle with the ChefSteps team. They were gauging initial interest in the feature. I imagine if it's on the feature backlog, it's probably at least a little ways off as they were just doing initial research.

At the very least I hope it supports IFTTT, which should be relatively simple to integrate. Alexa and/or HomeKit would be great though. Just remember that Joule will be constantly improving in many ways with new features over time.

Even if Joule isn't part of the feature set you will still be able to use it for things like cooking timers.
