I have several Sous Vide devices and worked with several others, and the Joule is BY FAR the best I have seen. It is practically silent, heats up fast, compact, stable on its magnetic base, and very important, takes up little space in my crowded drawers. The app is a snap and has all the timing and safety info at a click. GREAT JOB ChefSteps!

I'll second that shout out! Ribs, fish, veg, roasts, pickles, all so much easier. Time to temp rocks but I still smile when I just type in the temp I want and go. That for me is huge!!!!

+1, 100% agree. I am still amazed every time I start Joule away from my house (via my smart phone) and it is already at temp by the time I get there. Joule heats the water so much faster that any other sous vide device I have ever used.
