For those of you who preordered Joule, we are still on schedule to ship Joule in September. We will confirm your shipping address in the coming weeks, and you’ll receive an email with a tracking number when your order is on its way. Thank you again for preordering Joule.
When we announced our delay, we said we really value your business and support, which is why we’ve announced this morning that we retroactively reduced the purchase price of Joule to $149 for everyone who has preordered. In the coming weeks we’ll be refunding nearly $1 million in cash and savings to those of you who have supported Joule over the last nine months. After all, it was you—our preorder customers—who made Joule’s launch wildly successful by buying a helluva lot of Joules. Thank you.
When we scaled up manufacturing to keep up with demand, our price for Joule came down; we’re going to take advantage of this to make Joule more accessible to everyone else by reducing its regular price from $299 to $199. We have a very limited supply of Joules that we can to deliver this fall, so we’re going to put them on sale at $149 at 9am PDT tomorrow, Tuesday, September 9. We’re doing this so that everyone in the ChefSteps community has a chance to read the news and an equal chance of getting a great deal on Joule before we’re out of stock for a while.
We’d love your help in spreading the word about our new price for Joule and the sale happening tomorrow. Here’s how you can help:
- If you’ve been thinking about buying Joule, don’t wait! Tomorrow’s the day to get Joule for fall delivery at the best price. Starting at 9am PDT on Tuesday, August 9th, you’ll be able to buy Joule from this page.
- Know someone who’s been on the fence about ordering? You can use this link to share the news with friends or family!
- If you like what we do at ChefSteps, we would really appreciate help getting the word out. Visit our Facebook page to find shareable content that you can repost.
PSST: We're hard at work on developing and certifying international versions of Joule, and will have updates later this year about availability outside of the United States of America.
