I was of the generation growing up to always wash your hands after pretty much anything. Playing outside, petting the dog, touching a hand rail...anything. Combine that with the fear of cross-contamination and you can understand that I wash a lot. Otherwise I have a big box of food-service gloves that I wear when cutting up meat or a whole bird, or when I try and rub spices into something.
If you don't go the gloved route, do you ever remove jewelry? After rubbing in some barbecue spices, do you just wash up as normal, rings and all? Just curious as to other peoples' methods.
