Just got a Chamber Vacuum sealer, what all should I try?
FoodIsDecent_204467
So far I've done a lot of fruit compression and quick infusions/pickles. Extremely excited about it. Any unique compressions, infusions, pickles, or other things I should try out on it?

Cucumbers infused with your salad dressing, or an oil (e.g. walnut oil), tomato center infused with ham broth and cheese water (serve it on a bacon crisp). As limiting as you are creative. Enjoy!

A bag of water is always fun to watch boil before it seals.

Don't try ice cream. It has lots of air bubbles that expand and don't pop, so the mass of ice cream just keeps getting larger and larger and then oozes out of the bag. It's a good idea to keep a finger on the stop button if you're unsure about something expanding.

It's fun to watch a marshmallow grow and then shrink too. As Theo said when you are vacuum sealing a new item keep your finger close to the stop button we have all had to clean the vacuum chamber at one time or another due to oozing or out right pouring out of a bag. Don't try bread dough, no comment, lol. But cookie dough works great to get total hydration. Drying Potatoes or other veggies before frying works great. And making creme brûlée or most liquids to get rid of the bubbles. Just some of the things I have used mine for.

These are some incredible ideas. I'll definitely work off these. Been thinking of infusing cocktails into pineapples mostly, and your ideas definitely sound like things I want to explore more. Thanks!

I made a few bags of just water. My cat loves playing with them (so do I). And I'll definitely avoid Ice Cream.

Marshmallows in the microwave was one of the first things that surprised me about food when I was a kid, so I'll definitely try this. I completely forgot about the air bubbles too, so I'll do that. Thanks for all the ideas!
