Cleaning Your Circulator

So pretty much everyone I know cleans out a blender by putting warm tap water into the carafe and spritzing a few drops of dish soap in and giving the thing a blitz. Has anyone ever done that to clean their circulators? When you're done using the water, just add a few drops of soap and crank it up to 85C and let it run for 20 minutes. Would that root out the thermostat and other bits?

I've done it with a mild vinegar solution when I first bought mine but the caveat being I have an industrial lab circulator and not a commercial unit

Use a 10-25% vinegar solution and run it for about an hour. CLR is also often used (I recall ps may recommend this). Soap may gum things up a bit unless you're able to reach all parts.

For Joule, we're recommending a 50/50 solution of water to vinegar at 60 °C. You'll be done by the time it hits temp. You can see the video in the Joule app under "Caring for your Joule"!

The 50/50 vinegar/water works wonders, put you sink aerator in the bath and clean them at the same time...or even a shower head. They come out like new?
