Canadian certification eh

How's that coming along, I'm about ready to pull the trigger on getting a sous vide but that's the only thing preventing me from going with joule (and the shipping and customs but that's a different story all together)

Doesn't help me one bit since I in theory could just as one of my American friends to get it for me and bring it up when it arrives

When you ask a question, sometimes you get an answer you don't like. It does answer your question, it's just not an answer you want. You could indeed have a friend in the United States purchase it and send it to you. That, however, doesn't have anything to do with ChefSteps getting Canadian government certification and permission. Good luck!

To bad they are sold out, or you could of had it shipped to your friend, in theory.
