A few months back, when the
Tips & Tricks: Show Your Mandoline Who’s Boss (No, It’s Not Tony Danza) video was posted, I made concerted effort to start using my mandoline more often. I have a french mandoline, which really cost far too much, and I honestly regret buying it from time to time, but it is what it is. I have noticed, that: as with all things, the blade has steadily gotten duller. I recalled a post, sometime back, where there was talk about sharpening a mandoline. So I dug around on the forum, and found the
Sharpening a Mandoline post. In the replies to the original post,
@Grant_Lee_Crilly_63791 talks of shooting a video for this purpose. I realize that everyone over at ChefSteps has been super busy with the impending release of Joule (5 days until September), but I am requesting a follow up on this, and if there are any decent instructions out there which I can review. A blind squirrel finds a nut from time to time, but I don't want to jack up my mandoline by just trying stuff out. I have damaged junk knives irreparably (at least it would have taken more time than I was willing to invest) in the past, I don't want to damage something, forcing myself to purchase a new one. And even if I do go out and buy a new one, sooner or later, it will also need sharpening.
Thanks all!
