Siphon and CO2

Hi all,

I have a siphon with a chamber of 1L in total, that means that it has a capacity of 0.5L of liquid inside, aka twice less than the one used in teh soda videos of Chefsteps. Would it be safe to use my smaller siphon with one CO2 cardridge or would that create too much pressure resulting in a siphon bomb?

Has anybody experience on that?

You should be fine. The initial charge will still likely have to be released as they explain,but using a smaller siphon is not a problem.

Thanks todd. Just tested on water with mint and I am still in one piece, enjoying a refresh fizzy drink !

+1 with Todd. I have a 1L siphon too, 1 CO2 cartridge works fine.

still in one piece? Where's the fun in that? LOL. You need to melt some chocolate and coat a couple balloons and have them burst. It makes things interesting. :-)
