Heya, I'm about to purchase a stand mixer but i'm having trouble discerning the difference between the two models.

and

I believe they are the same model, model series 600. The only differences I see is the price and who the seller is.

I second

Hey just a note, I don't know if you are a Costco member? I was in there over the weekend and they have a Professional KitchenAid 6 qt for a much better price and it came with the ice cream making assessory. I noticed that the Costco model has a 590 watt motor. I just looked on line they didn't offer the assessory with it but they had $55 off. It's about $100 less than the ones you noted, the only thing is color selection is limited. They also have the model 620 which is more money and only has a 575 watt motor. The less expensive professional model looks to me to be model 600 so you might take a look there if you are a member.

Check webrestaurant store for a commercial, they have an even bigger engine and are heavy duty heard. if you can get a restaurant discount they are an even better buy.

I got the 600 from Costco last year. Great so far. Had a 75$ off instant rebate. Best thing about Costco is return policy!

for me it was the KitchenAid because of all the accessories that are interchangeable even going back ten or twenty years. Like the old metal Hobart meat grinder attachment which fits on any KitchenAid mixer.
