anyone's shipped yet?
Christopher_Buzzelli_50960
I've been checking my email way, way more since September 1st. Wondering if anyone would care to let us know once they receive their tracking number notification. I ordered mine last December, and no news.

This is a job for FAQ-man!
Here you go!
I am sure the discussion board will be on fire when shipping is confirmed.

I know they are shipping in the order that preorders were placed. Can someone tell me what date Joule became available to preorder? I placed my first order on Dec 22nd, and am trying to figure where that is relative to the first date Joule became available to preorder. Didn't see it on the FAQ.

I ordered on 11/26, which I think was fairly early in the process.

I ordered Nov. 24th. Still no word. An update from ChefSteps would be kind. IF there was some problem in shipping, or just time constraints getting the things boxed up and labelled would at least be encouraging.

Not very helpful.

Sorry, Bill. We can't make up info. So, the FAQ is all we have. This company has been extremely transparent and forthcoming. I would say their communication has been outstanding. They said shipping in September. It's only the 9th. Lots of days left.

I ordered mine on November30th. I did get the email about my refund, but nothing with any tracking info yet.

Anyone? is september 10th and no Joule on the horizon. This is starting to feel like Déjà vu all over again lol

I personally don't think this is Deja vu at all. They said ship in September and we are only in 1/3rd of the month. We originally went 5 months without hearing anything. So smoke a bowl (I mean a brisket mhmmm) and chill out. I would imagine we will start to hear shipping info toward the end of the month.

Having spent most of my adult life in PR/Advertising/Marketing, I donʻt agree that the "communication has been outstanding." I understand that there are only so many bodies, and the demand may have been overwhelming but when there are delays beyond the stated one in May and only vague pronouncements since then... I think someone coulda/shoulda sent out several emails announcing the various steps yet to go.
"Hi, everybody! The ship got into port last night. Our container will probably get unloaded in 3-4 days. When it ends up on our loading dock Iʻll let you know. Of course we have to gear up to get shipping labels and packing boxes prepped. But, weʻll keep you up-to-the hour as we go along. Thanks for your patience."
See how easy that is?
If you need me to take over the PR chores, let me know. Iʻm retired and have been thinking seriously about relocating to the Pacific NW to be closer to family. Iʻm available if you have an opening.

They say "Preorders will
begin
shipping in September 2016...." So the key word here is "begin." Who knows how many will actually ship in September, and who knows how many more months will pass before they fulfill all the preorders? I agree with Bill Martin that it would be nice if the quality of their customer relations approached the apparent quality of their product.

I'm not sure how many get the entire irony of that... so;

seriously chefSteps!! we supported you ($$$ prepaid) we have been patient (4 month past the due date) is time now for you to let us all know "when" in September our joules are coming. Labels? boxes? you had 4 MONTHs to get those ready. I want to be able to click on my order number and see an update (its something that I could program easily, and since I was rejected as a developer by chefSteps - last year, that was how I found out about Joule and I order it - the developer chefSteps hired should be able to do it even easier and faster than I could). BTW I never received a reply on a single email requesting information.

Within 30 minutes of ChefSteps sending the Joule launch email (11/24) I had watched the awesome video, placed my order AND received confirmation of receipt. IMO, the frequency and quality of the communications has been completely satisfactory...and the refund is a pleasant surprise. I'm glad to be part of this adventure and believe it will be worth the wait.
