Dry ice

Canadians, where do you buy your dry ice from? Also, any luck on nitrogen?
Bonus point if you are located in Ottawa, ON.
Thanks everyone. Cheers!

Try welding suppliers. They are usually the best direct source for both. I believe you have Air Liquide there in Ottawa, ON.

Thanks John. Just called them and they do not sell to non-commercial people. They did refer me to MEGS Specialty Gases & Equipment.
Dry ice: $60 for 25 lbs.
Nitro: $105 for year bottle rental. $75 for small size per refill (forgot to ask quantity)
Nitro might be something down the row to play with but dry ice is what I really want now. But 25 lbs... that seems like a lot!!

Around where I'm at, some grocery stores and ice cream shops sell dry ice. Sorry, haven't spent time in ON myself

Yea, I have to buy 10 lb quantities, but I can get it for 99 cents a pound. You might try some of the others welding supply stores, ar the very least they can tell you retail outlets that they supply.

HI Minh, Last year when I took Xmas dinner to my family in Canada, I googled dry ice and there was a supplier to he area in downtown Toronto so I picked some up there. My sister (where we were staying) lives in Kingston and she picked up some extra at queens university at one of the labs, so you could try Ottawa U or Carleton. Personally I'd pick Carleton but only cuz I played a brief stint for the sooners b/f my neck got sorta broke from too many head on collisions.

A coworker picks it up from Praxair all the time in Edmonton. They should have nitrogen as well.
Arctic Glacier drops off dry ice daily at my work but not sure if they sell it for home use.
