Where is Joule?

At this point in time, it would be be cool just to know if the circulators are still shipping in September 2016. I half expect to get a heart breaking (albeit hilarious) video of grant saying "sorry guys. Typos happen. We meant September 2017"

Jake I am certain that they will be shipped this month, how about giving them a break. There is still a half of a month to go before September is gone. Have you ever heard of anyother company that pre-sold a product and then because they sold so many were able to get a better price point so they refunded the difference to those early adopters? Not me! ChefSteps has gone above and beyond for their customers and the ChefSteps community, so please give them the benefit of any doubt.

While I can appreciate all that Chefsteps is doing/has been through, a break has certainly been given already. We've been patiently waiting for a long time. Also, it seems that many (myself included) did not receive their rebate, so it's hard to use that as justification for benefit-of-the-doubt-giving. (at least at this point). I have no doubt they're working on it, but as of 1/2 through the month, it is absolutely reasonable to raise concerns.

Just a note I did get my refund posted to my account yesterday and it is dated August 29th. I don't know if it was their bank or mine that held onto it, but they processed it the same day they sent the notices. So yes, IMHO that is not a reason to question them or not to give them benefit of any doubt. But that's me.

John I'm with you most of the way. I think chefsteps has the ability to be an incredible company. My doubts come from the fact that no finite release date has been published. IMHO, the only reason you wouldn't post a release date after already delaying something eagerly awaited and postponed is because you aren't in fact sure of a release date. And with two weeks left in September, not having a concrete date does definetely concern me given the past (1) experience I've had with chefsteps delaying the arrival of Joule.

Sorry, but how is "shipping in September" not a release date? Sure, it's not an exact date, but it is still September.

I'm of the opinion that one of the best traits to have in customer service (and as a chef) is to be OCD about the little details. We've all gotten that time quote from the cable repairman saying they will be there sometime between 9am and 2pm. I just prefer a certain level of "exactness" that's all. I do feel that we, as customers, deserve that level of commitment as the ship date has already been delayed.
