i’ve been coming to this forum daily over the past month just trying to look for answers, and all i can seem to find are disappointments.
why in the world are we all fighting over shipment of a product that is supposed to bring us together? i mean that’s why we’re all here, right? i’m assuming it’s for the love of cooking.. and this forum is supposed to promote that.
i may not have been patiently waiting as long as most of you have for the joule to be shipped, but still.. waiting patiently i have. i come here in the hopes to see someone possibly post “hey everyone, guess what?! i just got a shipping confirmation!!” i’m assuming most of the other people inquiring are looking for the same thing.. we’re not looking for “here’s a link to a FAQ that you’ve probably already seen” or “here’s a list of what we know that you’ve probably already read”.. I’m just looking to see if anyone has excitedly gotten any information to pass onto the rest of us. if you don’t have any, condescending the inquiries or inquirers only exacerbates the issues. i don’t want a refund.
on the other side, i’m also not threatening for answers. i’m nothing but excited for this product, and can’t wait to get it in. maybe i’m wrong, but i assume most of the people wondering when we can expect to hear news feel the same as me. i’m not going to sit here and lament chefsteps and their team on the issue and condescend them, but i also completely understand the customer’s want for some kind of glimpse or hope.. some kind of notice of what to expect.
it’s not the end of september yet, fair enough.. but now we’re looking at only 6ish business days left, and it seems like the only thing the community is concerned about is trying to counter-point the other side as to why we should be hearing something, or as to why we should just wait.
where is that going to leave us when it actually comes in, whenever that may be? still divided over whether or not another community member told me to shut up or ask for a refund / told me if i had worked in pr that i would see how horrible this is?
i’m hoping to come back here after i see it delivered and see people sharing ideas instead of insults and arguments…
