I recently came across photos of this precision cooktop on a couple blogs of Kenji and Ideas In Food. It looked cool... until I saw the price. It's almost $2000!!!
Has anyone used it? Thoughts?
I already have a range, pressure cooker, (soon a) Joule. The technology is nifty and I hope it will be incorporated into all cooktops at some point but right now, especially for the price, I can't see it gaining traction in my kitchen. Perhaps it has much more value for a professional than a home cook.
There was a CS forum post about 10 months back. At that point I don't think it was released.
