Skip the waitlist and preorder today!

Chefsteps.com/food52 (someone double check this because I saw it early this morning and I might be wrong) only today and tommorow (October 2nd and 3rd) will allow you to pre order with a delivery in November. Thought I'd share for everyone on the waitlist.

Just read the fine print and placed an order for my second joule.

A limited supply of Joules is now available for Food52 fans only. Order between 6am EDT on September 28 and 11:59pm EDT on October 3rd, or while supplies last. Joules purchased at this time will arrive in November

I just ordered one 🤓. I agree with Nathan, this will annoy a lot of people. There was no question about subscribing to food52 so I wonder what brought this on?

I received the receipt of my purchase and it does say that it will ship in 6 to 8 weeks. I wonder if these are the units that were cancelled by those who did not want to wait any longer?

As I recall, Chris stated that the goal is to have all orders fulfilled and shipped by the end of October.

While a non-trivial number of Joules will be delivered between Wednesday and Friday next week, this does mean that most of you will not receive Joule in September. To avoid speculation that it could be months before everyone gets their Joule, I will share that our forecast has us delivering all of the preordered Joules in October.

So before everybody gets their knickers in a knot, and start a whole big 'THING' again, take a deep breath and have some faith. The orders DID start to ship in September and I have no doubt they will fulfill the balance of the preordered Joules in October.

This still doesn't fix the fact that we have to wait longer than those that never preorder, and that is just not good business.

no Ruby. We will get our pre-ordered Joules way before these extra units ship. Even if they ship them in 6 weeks rather than 8 (that is the estimate ship date--6 to 8 weeks) that is still mid-November. So this is just a nice little bonus, no harm done to any pre-orders.

If I'm reading this correctly, I think the problem is that the preorder does not mean waitlist. Sure those of us with a preorder will receive it prior to the Food52 folks, but the Food52 folks will receive theirs prior to those people who couldn't preorder, but put their names on the waitlist (presumably before the Food52 partnership).

How about those on a waiting list for another Joule or those who didn't get one before they sold out? I ordered my second Joule while happily anticipating receiving my first one but I was also on a waiting list to place another order and had not received any notification that they were once again available for purchase.
