This should take less than an hour, right?

Can someone open Excel, find our order numbers, match them against the shipping forecast, and tell us what week to expect our product?

that would be too easy

there is no reason why they couldn't give a daily update of where they are in the shipping process. Let us know what order day they are shipping. Would give some idea of when to expect delivery. Seems we are in limbo again. For all I know they have run out of product.

@Chris Young
this is a great idea! If nothing else, a daily note indicating which order date is shipping. Thanks!

There is a strange lack of information being passed to their customers. Not only are they not volunteering any shipping info, but emails are not answered as well. OTOH, there was an email sent to pre-order customers on June 20 which plainly stated the product would ship in September. So, looking at the calendar.......

If someone can send ME that Excel doc, I shall be happy to convert it to a GOOGLE DOC, and I can share that link so that everyone can see! ;-)

Ok, having just scrolled through these forums for the first time and I do see lots of back and forth about the shipping dates, including a recent note from CS. However, let me just say I really feel I shouldn't have to go searching for that information myself. You're a tech company. Use that crazy new technology called email and let your customers know what to expect. Realistically. Meaning maybe if you tell me in June "We are so pleased to announce that we'll ship your Joule in September" that doesn't mean they might or might not get to you in October. It is not difficult to communicate with your customers- if you try.

I really used to be in that camp man but I think they're all spending every working moment on processing Joules. I don't think they have an obligation to share other people's shipping status. It would seem that we've moved onto December per the post above. If you ordered in November, you may have cause for concern. Otherwise, I think they'll come through and have preorders delivered by end of Oct.

Not asking for anyone's specific shipping. Just the dates they are shipping. They may very well be busy, but they could still communicate.

I see your point. I'm very happy with all the new information we have compared to just a few weeks ago! At the very least there seems to be some progress.

I think you'd need to grab the Shopify order numbers since they should be sequential though. You can get it by going to the order history page and clicking the
Confirm/Update
link for your address.
The Shopify order # will be in the URL after you click on the link.
For instance, mine URL is
https://www.chefsteps.com/orders/
3722065415
/update-address so my Shopify order number is
3722065415
.
I ordered July 12th, so I imagine I'm way towards the end. There is probably a prefix or suffix on it too, but with another two order numbers, we could probably estimate the number of orders they had too.
