I pre-ordered back in May and still no shipment, what gives?

The original shipping announcement said September, and I saw a couple of weeks ago that they actually started to ship. I know they said that they were shipping in the order the pre-orders were received, so my question to the community is, has anyone who ordered in May started to receive their shipments yet?

Hi John,
Matt started a thread for people to post updates when they get their shipping confirmation. The last update someone posted said they got their shipping notification on October 3rd and they pre-ordered on Nov. 30th. Like you, I ordered in May. Looks like our Joules are still a couple weeks out.

They just started shipping last Tuesday (9/27). The last community member I remember reporting was a December 1, so you probably have a good 2-3 weeks for May I would think.

I ordered in July (shopify order number 3722065415). At the rate they're going, I think I'll be lucky to see anything until November.

That said, it is no small amount of effort for a small company to ship out thousands of units. There is a reason why people outsource fulfillment to companies like Shipwire or Amazon.

I ordered mine in May 2016 and have heard nothing except for the email that said "...you will receive confirmation/delivery address in Aug. for Sept. delivery..."

I did receive an email in the last few days offering a Joule for sale/delivery in 6 to 8 weeks from Chef Steps. Thought about it and said "stupid to order a second one when I never received the unit ordered in May." So, I passed..
