4 Oz. Wide Mouth Mason?

I wanted to learn how to make Crème Brûlée with Joule. I was looking for some nice 4 oz. wide mouth mason jars to use but couldn't find any. Just the regular mouth seem to be available. Does anyone know if a wide mouth version of the 4 oz. mason jars exist?

Or am I looking for a unicorn....

Thank you HammeredChef. However the picture you posted, and the link seem to be two different jars. The link clearly says "regular mouth" jar on the box. The picture is more of what I was looking for....

The regular mouth 4oz jar has an opening diameter of 2.5" and is 2.25" high. So in order for the jar to have a 3.25" diameter (wide mouth opening) it would have to be very shallow. I will let a mathematician do the math, I've forgotten the volume equation😐

as long as the mouth is wider than the body i.e. tapered you are good to go......

I use the 4oz regular mouth quilted jars and they work great. The Kerr/Ball website doesn't list 4oz jars available in wide mouth. You would have to go to 8oz jars to have wide mouth.

Absolutely, I have used them once with Joule and did some 6 oz portions in 8 oz jars at the same time. I have made CS Crème brûlée at least a dozen times. Here is a pic of the small mouth 4 oz jars in my former setup. In the 4 oz jars I suggest only cooking for about 45-50 minutes.

There are no 4 oz. wide mouth Mason jars, but there are 8 oz AKA half-pint.

Having cooked a great deal of creme brulee in the the standard 4 oz jelly jars and wide mouth half pints I don't know what the advantage of a wide mouth would be in a 4oz size. As someone pointed out they would be really shallow. Wide mouth half pints are great if you want about 6oz per jar. I pour on the scale to get this amount and it leaves just the right gap at the top.
