Just got an email about this. A bit disappointing, but hopefully it won't slip further.

Don't bet on it....

Same; disappointed, and the rate that these were coming out (I believe January orders are only now being shipped) only adds salt to the wounds. I think ChefSteps may have been a bit too hasty in their logistical analysis, given the amount of capital and supplies they have, which is a shame. At the very least, they've apologized and made certain to stick to the order in which orders were received.
Part of me would like some sort of consolidation prize, like having CS Premium with the rest of the Joule pre-order gang (or even a handwritten card with my Joule would go a long way at this point, I would frame it in my kitchen, "From ChefSteps"), but the other part of me knows that my order not worthy of such a thing.

Definitely don't bet on it. Truly disappointing to be honest since it was told we would have ours shipped and processed in October. With the influx of capital being poured in by the venture capitalist firm who stepped in, I thought that this whole process would be streamlined.

really shows how getting some cooks and writers together, who decide to make their own better appliance, which it seems they have done. My opinion is they are totally clueless about manufacturing overseas, shipping difficulties, and customer service. I know nothing is guaranteed when ordering like this but where they have fallen short is just sharing information in a timely manner. THE TIMELINE FOR SHIPPING PREORDERS INDICATES CHEFSTEPS KNOWING A FEW WEEKS AGO THAT THE AUGUST ORDERS HAS ALREADY SLIPPED TO NOVEMBER SHIPPING. (think about the 6-8 weeks for delivery orders they started taking and now have sold out, which is the last half of November delivery)

I agree David, it seems like Joule is as idealistic and perfect to use as they've created it to be, but it was just the product launch that was handled in a less than ideal manner. Then again, this was a venture that CS has never attempted before (selling consumer goods is much different than selling consumer services) and they're having to put out fires as they go along.

I pre-ordered in February and was told it would ship in May, then September. I was never told it would be October but I read it on the forum. I still am waiting. Very frustrating.

Jon,
I hear you. I preordered in April...promised May...then September..now when...at the apocalypse? My wife is really getting pissed about having PAID all those months ago and ...nothing!
