I just got an email form Chefsteps says that I will get my August preorder on the end of November.

That's disappointing and not fair. We were promised that we will get it by the end of October!

and please, I don't want to hear that I can refund my payment.

We need to know exactly what caused the delay on our orders and why it is delayed till the end of November...

Not that it helps, but you're probably feeling what a lot of us felt in the first pre-order group and were told in April that there was an undetermined delay. At least you guys have been given a time frame for shipping. I feel your pain, but hope you can understand there are a fair amount of people still to receive theirs that ordered prior to the August firesale. I myself pre-ordered Jan 15 and still have not even had a confirmation for my shipping address.

Your point about communication is fair, and if there is one thing Chefsteps can learn from this launch process it is that the communication with customers should be a bit more transparent.

I'm a March pre-order customer. What concerns me is that we are now more than half way through October and like Ben said, Jan 15 and his hasn't shipped.

Look at it this way: we'll only have to wait three months compared to the 10 months that some other individuals had to wait, and we gave up less money upfront for the device. We can only speculate as to why they're holding off until the end of November for us, but either way you dice it, it simply boils down to the fact that they're not able to get all their Joules out in the manner that they had originally hoped to.

Shite occurs. Not the end of the world.

I too ordered a (second) Joule in August, received the same email notice this afternoon, and am happy to hear all the "pre-orders" will be cleared by the end of November. If you read the entire text you will notice that ALL pre-ordered Joule are being shipped before any other orders placed after that. In essence, it might not be quick enough for some but you now have knowledge that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Very disappointing, and I wonder if they will even make it to us by the end of November based on their track record - orders from January 2016 haven't shipped yet. And if their projections say that January 2016 to August 2016 orders will arrive by the end of November, why did they wait so long to tell us? Surely they would have known a lot earlier.

If I don't get my Joule before Thanksgiving, I will really consider cancelling my order and going with another brand.

That's odd. I'm an August 9 order and I didn't get the email... either mines still coming in October or they don't have my email straight...

I'd rather get a sandpaper handy than make assumptions about ChefSteps order fulfillment expectations but I assume December orders were high, and Jan to Feb to March to April..... slowly started to slow down. I don't think it should be completely ridiculous to assume that the next few weeks we see them start to move through early 2016 preorders much fasted than they moved through the December ones. But I like sandpaper handies, so I'll just drink more Booker Rye to dull the pain.

Remember that Jan 15 was the original cutoff for the $199 price, so there was a large spike in orders just prior to that. I am a Jan 10 order for just that reason, and I just recently had my address confirmation email.

My guess is that after the Jan 15 orders ship, the following months will fly by quickly.

I am totally confused! I ordered Joule in March with a due date of May then, the due date changed to September. September came and went and now it is October 24. Hello!? Anyone out there??? I read on the comments below about receiving updates that set a November ship date. Hmmm. I guess my update got lost in the mail. And, pleaz, no more glib assurances that Chef Steps is committed to its customers, yadddah, yaddah.

What would make this better ... a joule. delivered. period.
