Need Help

Hey guys! So I've used my joule to make steak and it came out perfectly. One hour in the water bath and it was cooked to perfection. Today I am going to make short ribs two ways 180 degrees F for 24 hours. Does anybody know if i will be able to leave the joule unattended and it will still work when i am gone?

Yes, you Will be able to. Immersion circulators are designed for that. The Joule also has multiple safety features to shut it down if something were to go wrong. You'll be fine to head to work with Joule cooking away.

No problem, 24, 48 or even 72 hours. Just check once in a while as you may need to add some water. If you don't have a lid, it's a good idea to cover your cooking vessel with plastic wrap to lessen evaporation.

Shorts ribs was the SV revelation dish for me. Try a pre-sear, them cook SV at 54-56C for 72 hours, then post sear. Sauce and serve. Fantastic melt in your mouth short ribs, but medium rare!
