While work wasn't about to let me buy one of our old, big KR4-22 centrigues, they have I think a 6L capacity and generate up to 7 or 8k RCF, they were getting rid of a GR412, 3L with around 4k RCF. Workplace can't keep it as we just got a new Sorvall BP 8 and they were gonna sell the GR to some lab asset manager. Talked to my manager, offered them $50 more, and now I'm the owner of a brand new centrifuge. I'm okay with this. I know the history of the machine, mostly blood, but also sometimes some work with algae and this biotech startup.
Anyways, I rented a truck and brought it home, cleaned up the exterior a bit and now I'm spinning.
The power cord goes to something else, the centrifuge is plugged directly into an outlet behind it. The first thing I did was spin berry juice to get rid of the seeds and pulp, giving me a very clear "juice"
I'm preparing some basil to make basil oil.
Anything else I should spin?
