Into the pot

Just picked up my joule at the post office :-) and immediately paired it with my phone which was very easy. Then heated a pot of water to 140f which took about 9-10 mins for about a little less than two gallons... nice! Now for the weird part I only paired it with my phone. I went into another room with my iPad to surf the interwebs... I've got Bluetooth and wifi off and I'm using a LTE signal. Low and behold the push notification pops up and tells me that my water is 140. How did that happen? I have the app on it but how did it find my iPad . Please somebody remove my hand from the top of my head as I'm about to scratch a hole in it.....

It works that way because you are signed into your ChefSteps account on both apps (Phone and iPad) and it goes through Chefsteps servers. You only have to pair it to one device and it passes the paring information to all devices that you are signed in to the same account on.

@todd.. no selsun blue but maybe some Soylent green @138f for 2hours? Thanks for the replies gents... I didn't realize that it was so seamless. I thought that I would have to introduce the two of them before such behavior.. ooooolala. And I'd like to thank HammeredChef DEFINITELY does NOT work at ChefSteps Johnson for teaching our children that authentic frontier gibberish!
