Go to the Recipe: Pork Belly Three Ways
for SV, it says
CONS: Takes a while—24 hours for a braiselike (but better!) texture and seven hours for a steaky texture.
but the actual recipe and video has it the other way around
Steaky belly: Cook 24 hr.
Braisey belly: Cook 7 hr.
Thanks for catching this! The recipe and video are right.
Now seriously guys.
With all the different kinds of cooking pork belly, you need to put up a ramen recipe.
Broth, noodles and toppings.
Just sayin'
Why no pork crackling ? Haha
Molto istruttivo. Grazie mille
The best I've seen on the interwebs so far is the one from serious eats food lab. Bet ChefSteps could come out with something even more so amazing. Challenge ?
The whole recipe came out really well. I decided to braise the pork belly, but cut down the total cook time because it was getting late. Still worked well.
The braised pork belly reminds me of a native dish famous in cebu, philippines called Humba with semi sweet sauce paired with rice. Oh so good! Please try this dish as well. Asian countries love pork belly because its so flavorful. I wish more Americans are open minded like the the chefstep team.
