Yum!
Looks really nice and will try it! I really like the way you added the approximate amount for each ingredient (like 10g garlic, about 2 cloves)!
Made this yesterday, not really impressed. Be very careful with the chili flakes, it will overpower the total dish!
This looks really good. Would adding some chopped bacon to the finished dish, and sautéing the pine nuts and garlic in the rendered fat be okay?
enjoyed this very much. needed a side to go with my light meal prep for lunch to pack for work and this was quick, easy, and so cheap too.
Try deglazing the pan with the lemon juice, that seemed to add more flavor
That would probably be more than okay, Toby!
We're so glad to hear it, Phillip!
if you find that they are overpowering, cook with them to taste. You, like myself, are probably a bit more sensitive to spice in the flakes. Just taste as you go and it should turn out great.
Tried this out the other day. Threw in some extra fresh chilli, sesame seeds and some sugar snap peas. Totally worth the extra little bit of effort to turn boring broccoli into something different. It made the broccoli the star of the meal (not something you can say everyday). Delicious!
Would it be okay if I made this in advanced and served it cold at a party?
Awesome
Broccoli shoots n chicken
Great recipe! More vegetable sides please.
I like to start prep by trimming off the fibrous exterior of the stalk with a vegetable peeler.
This was delicious and easy to make - love it!
I've made this several times! Pine nuts are crazy expensive so a couple times I have substituted peanuts as a cheaper alternative.
Very good. Probably the best way I've found to make broccoli. I laughed when I saw how much the pine nuts were.
I used almonds instead. It was a great cheaper substitution. Store those pine nuts properly so they don't go rancid!!!!
This recipe has surpassed my grilled asparagus as my new favorite veggie side dish, i used way more garlic than what is called for, but my friends and I have two rules of cooking, there is no such thing as too much garlic or onion, although I used walnuts instead of pine nuts. Great recipe
It's bland and raw.
Regarding the garlic and onion, I am right with you there Patrick.
I love it, my family loves it. Tastes and looks amazing- just stick with the the recipie or/ And keep the size and proportions right. The broccoli must be chopped as shown, otherwise you will not achieve the same results.
Add a touch more salt, and cook it a bit longer.
