Go to the Recipe: No-Fail Beluga Lentils
Looks good! Great option to have on hand on busy weeks.
I'm curious what other ingredients and greens are shown in the last few pics?
.
Where the fuck are the videos
This is awesome! So excited to see a recipe using Joule with grains. Can this same technique be used interchangeably with other slow cook grains? Such as barley or farro for instance?
@Phillip Zhong they Have always not included videos in some of their recipes.
How should lids be applied to the jars? Finger-tight / normal?
This was fantastic. Worked great for lentils de puy too.
I agree with the "WTF are the videos" comment but I'd also like to add "Where are the responses to all these questions?..." So very often I have the same question. They were smart enough to give us ratios but I have no idea how to cook in a jar. So if it's 1:2 beans to water does that leave enough room for expansion if I have a full jar?
Responding to these questions would be mind numbingly redundant as people ask the same basic questions. I'd suggest some basic review of their past videos, and God forbid reading some of the text.
Looks like cauliflower, spring greens, orange cherry tomatoes, and squash flower? Very pretty!
Hello. What is the jar size works the best for this recipe? Thank you!
Wide Mouth Pint size jars.
It's under equipment!
...and I believe it says you need two of them
I’ve done Custard in a jar sous vide. I close finger right, then back it off about a quarter-turn so air can escape. I’ve never had an issue with water seeping I to the jar.
Waiting for you to post yours.
So easy! I can make these easily then add a vinaigrette to them and a chicken drumstick for a fresh lunch. I’m enjoying the “make more than one meal at a time” ideas.
Thank you!
If I vacuum seal the lentils and cook them sous vide per instructions above, how long could the unopened bags safely last in a fridge? Could they keep for a month?
We recommend using within 10 days.
