Joule!!!
Jacob_Somerfield_151918
Fired up my joule and was able to get a nice heat seal for my lexan by sutting a 4.75mm hole just large enough for joule to stick out the top of my container. holds heat/water must better and less recoup time after adding food

Hi Jacob, that lid looks perfect. Are you using the clip, or did you go with the metal glued to the bottom or below the cambro to stabilize the Joule? If it's the former, do you have measurements for where you put the hole? If not, how'd you determine hole location?
Sorry for the 20 questions but I'm about to modify my lid and haven't decided on how yet. Thanks!

Did you just use a hole saw? That's fancy lookin!

the hole diameter is 4.75cm (joule is approx 4.5cm diameter) i used a laser cutter from the engineering department at my work, however if you have a fine tooth hole saw or drill attachment it should work just fine. Just remember with the polyurethane lids if the teeth are to big they can catch and just crack all over. I use the metal table as a base for the magnet but also as long as the lid is secured to the container it will stabilize joule by itself so done really need the clip or the metal base. As for placement just set your joule in the container and place lid on it as it would normally go. trace or mark the center and cut that is the easiest way to figure out where to cut

Thanks for the info. I'll be giving this a go soon. As I don't have a laser cutter, I'm going to try a 1-7/8 hole saw running in reverse in hopes of melting through the lid without risk of cracking. I've seen other versions using a notch to the edge of the cambro to allow the clip to be used. But I like your technique better. I think I'll be going that direction and using John Fisher / Hammered Chef glue dot with metal stamp blank as a mount point in the base of the cambro for the magnetic foot. I'll take some pictures and post a guide if it works.
