Ehm....no. Ash. Completely burned food. Both highly carcinogen. Why would anyone do that?
I've watched this on good eats once. Alton brown used all natural lump coal and before placing the food on the coals he used a blow drier to blow any ash away. I've done this before with flank steak and it turned out really great. If your worried about carcinogens why are you looking at bbq anyway haha.
Ehm....no, the ignorance here is palatable. The food is nowhere near burned and the ash is practically zero. Maybe learn to live before you dismiss something with highly erroneous preconceptions. Or just continue to be boring. Your call.
The studies done used rodents fed thousands of times of Heterocyclic amines (HCAs) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Both of which are found in food cooked at high heat for a significant amount of time. However, population studies show no definite link.
