Hello there! when carbonating why do you sometimes shake the siphon and sometime not? also how would you put a probe thermometer in a siphon then close it tightly?
via Grant:
"Depends on when you want the liquid or solids and how delicate it is to shaking. Shaking = more carbonation faster but can damage many goods.
We use a surface probe and take the temp against the stainless body of the isi"
Sounds fun. Gotta get a siphon!
So many options! So few CO2 chargers in the kitchen. 😂
How about a libation version?
how much volume of soda can I put into a one liter siphon? just to confirm, you don't discharge the last co2 before putting siphon in freezer?
Most siphons will have a maximum fill line. If it is a liter siphon then fill to 3/4 filled which is 1 liter. The manufacturer allows for the head room at the top. Discharge all gas after frozen.
If using a ninja creami deluxe and I process a Slushie, can I pour the slushie contents in the siphon and charge it? or does it need to be charged first as a liquid then frozen to get the full effect?
Wondering now with the output of the Ninja Slushi. Can one use the ISI to carbonate already slush?
