Estimated Delivery Date - Thanksgiving

Emailed Chefsteps asking for an ETA on delivery. Since I've grown impatient.
I placed my order April 24th.

Thank you so much for checking in and we apologize for the wait.

We estimate that your order will be delivered by Thanksgiving at the latest, and likely sooner. We began shipping Joule preorders in September, and we are filling preorders in the order in which they were received. Please know that an email with a tracking number will be headed your way as soon as we can get your Joule out the door to you.

So hopefully sooner.. although shipping in September was September 31st, so I'm not expecting before Thanksgiving.

Thought I'd share my update with all.
I was really hoping to use it to pickle all these fall veg before the frost or the went off in the fridge. Guess I'll just eat them, give them away, and go the traditional route.

I did see that about delivering by Thanksgiving or earlier. I ordered mine on January 15th. I haven't complained once but I now take with a grain of salt any promise they make. Sadly it seems by what I have read on this forum if anyone questions Chef Steps delivery process you immediately get attacked by a praetorian guard. They are not perfect and I don't expect them to be but I little bit of responsibility doesn't hurt. I am sure they have a great product and will keep waiting.

Ordered mine Jan 14th. I have been checking back waiting for my shipping conf to appear. I received my address conf almost 2 weeks ago. I now also have the same message, "This order will be delivered by Thanksgiving at the latest, and likely sooner." I thought all the pre-orders were shipping in Oct? More lies from ChefSteps.... It might be a rockstar product but the company has a lot of maturing to do.

Another way of looking at it might be to note the flood of delivery posts, the increasing cadence of ChefSteps communication, and the steepening of dat delivery graph and conclude that CS is, indeed, working on addressing your issues.

Wanted to point out that the delivery graph has actually leveled instead of steepened. Jeremiah's original estimation put Jan15 orders as shipping on 10/28 if things were continuing to be linear. As Friday came and went, the graph further leveled to push Jan15 shipping out into this week. Now to be fair to chefsteps, I think this is a manufactured problem for them as we have all been tracking by date. If they were to ship a partial shipment of Jan15 orders but not all of them, undoubtedly someone would be upset that they didn't receive theirs along with everyone else. They are most likely stock piling enough to get through all Jan 15 orders in one go and clear the next few dates on their list to keep from getting flooded by angry messages. Keep in mind, January 15 was the last preorder date for the discount pricing, so I am sure there were more orders on this date than most, other than the first five or so days of sale.

It's also possible they saw more orders on the 15th than even the first days of preorders...we really don't know.

I do find it interesting that as folks were reporting their address confirmation emails, it generally was for a few days at a time (12/26/15-12/30/15 as an example). On Friday they sent that email out to all the folks that had ordered from 15 January through at least 19 March!

There are a few possible reasons: they could just be jumping ahead of the game collecting addresses, they could be anticipating receiving a larger shipment of Joules to their warehouse, or there could have been a lot fewer daily orders after 15 Jan. We will probably never really know either way. However, if they do get all these out within the week, that's a huge increase in delivery rate. If they held to that schedule it could possibly get them through the preorders by Thanksgiving.
