Can regular soy sauce substitute in for tamari?
How long will this keep refrigerated? Two and half cups is a lot of dressing!
@slim You can sub soy sauce for tamari. It will have a slightly different taste, and there may be gluten in the soy sauce, but it should work well enough
This should hold for up to 2 weeks. But you can always scale the recipe down.
I really appreciate the plant based recipes, my girlfriend went plant based and though you can make amazing things, you miss somethings...
Does it freeze?
We did not experiment with freezing this dressing. If you do decide to freeze it you may need to whisk it back together after thawing.
Yum! This one came out perfectly (did 0.5 of the recipe)
ChefSteps: I keep Wood's Cider Mill Boiled Cider on hand for baking. Could I use 40g of this to substitute for the end-result of the reduced dry cider? Or would dry cider impart a different flavor/sugar content when reduced since dry cider is alcoholic vs regular cider?
Where does the 110ml of water come into play? It's mentioned at the last step in the list, but there are no instructions as to when or how to use it.
1st ingredient listed on the blending step
Love their dedication to making great recipes
I can't believe I missed it!
Would like to make this, but this is one of those "go out and get some specific ingredients that I'll then never use again" ingredients.
Wow, I'm very impressed, it's nearly indistinguishable from the 'real' thing. Beware of over-blending: 2+ minutes in a vitamix on high whipped in far too much air and also heated the dressing considerably. I chilled it in the fridge and then thinned it out a bit to compensate.
can I freeze the extra dressing?
BTW This is absolutely scrumptious!
Hi! How long does this last vacuum sealed and refrigerated?
Using proper cleanliness techniques I would say 30 days. Even more if you sous vide pasteurized it but this is all at your own risk.
