Hi guys, so I was considering buying the Beefer to sear my sous vide steaks. Pan searing was getting a little greasy and I compared long horn restaurant 800 degree mallard sear and appreciated it. Yes I know a bbq grill can work but now I wondering with this device in mind did you consider it ability to sear the results gained by sous vided beef steak? Do you know what I’m asking?
I am not sure if the juice would be worth the squeeze when pairing Beefer with sous-vide cooked food. Seems like a huge spend to just use for searing. And the food would need to start searing from cold other wise the high output would push the internal past what you produced in the immersion circulator.
