Go to the Recipe: Apple Gin Gimlet
Make this. Don't think, consider or question. Just make it. In all seriousness, I make a quadruple or sextuple batch of the tonic. I use a big Cuisinart food processor to break down the apples for the tonic. One less piece of equipment in the kitchen (a bonus for apartment living) and even with a juicer you have to sieve the stuff. This is a great cocktail party drink. It's some work the day before, but the night of - it's a whiz. You can mix the base cocktail and keep it in the fridge. Keep the foam coming, (two siphons helps!) and your guests will be stunned and amazed. Very elegant.
The sailors themselves were rationed mainly with rum as it was cheaper and more accessible, it was usually the officers that were rationed with gin. also as such amazing chefs i think your cocktail garnish game could be a little stronger.
Not quite sure how I missed this one!! Being one that likes gin, this drink is awesome. It also converted a known gin hater, my wife, into an Apple Gin Gimlet liker.
