Go to the Recipe: How To Turn Jam Into Fresh Fruit Roll-Ups
Just a question regarding the statement "The sugar content needs to be eight grams per serving or under." Your 2 example Jam's have serving sizes of 18 g and 20 g. Wouldn't it be easier to express the required sugar amount as g per 100 g? (ie a percentage) or do american jam's not have this on the nutritional label? I'm assuming the amount you mention is <45% sugar?
Hello Joel, the 8 g per serving is expressed to make it easier for the person to just look at a glance at the label and not have to do math. The labels here in the states do not list percentages and you have to do that on your own. They list the grams for the serving sizes. You are correct though, that the jams need to be around 40-45% sugar.
Can you make this in a regular oven?
