Would love to see a few more trials to get it closer! Fun concept though.
Placing the canister in the freezer for 30min or so bf also helps. IMHO
In the blind taste test video, Grant suggests it could be possible to improve on the Blush to make it close to Champagne. If that experimentation happens, it would be an interesting to watch the development process in a video.
Have you guys tried this with sake? I've had wonderful dry sparkling sake in Japan, but all I can find here is the super sweet stuff, so it would be great to be able to make some.
Great update and ideas. This makes me think, it would awesome around spring or summer time for you guys to do a class/update on making different homemade sodas. I really want to try the Cherry Cola recipe when I get the needed components. Would love to see an update using regular sugar or non-caloric sweeteners. Merry Xmas to everyone!
I have a CO2 carbonation tank with a ball valve i have used in the past for making carbonated wines. What pressures do you get on the inside of the whipping siphon? The result was close but the bubbles were big. What caused the bigger bubbles?
I use my sodastream to put bubbles in good Portuguese white wine and guests go bananas over it! How much better is the CO2 version with grapes?!?
The fact that it was not Champaign. No way this or any other cheater methods approaches Champaign.
I think Grant actually says in the video champaign with a "small c". So yeah. As a fun alternative I'll try it.
Quick question, could you do a fizzy cold consommé?
yea. any liquid will work, how ever you want to remove as much fat as possible.
It's dirt cheap stuff out of a f... box 😆
If you've never done the fizzy fruit with the dry ice, or this siphon method, I'd recommend doing it. Fizzy fruit is amazing. Grapes and berries are some of the best fruits to make fizzy, and they are a joy to eat. They are fantastic at a party.
weird recipe as it is not specified how much wine I can put in siphon
