Go to the Recipe: Kansas City-Style Barbecue Sauce
Why can it be refrigerated it only for 3 weeks? All the indivivdual ingredients seems to be able to stay in the fridge for months.

I made this and it tasted like a... I don't know, maybe a mop sauce that's too salty. Tried adding more sugar and it didn't help at all, kinda made it worse.
Tossed it and tried the sweet and sticky BBQ. Again, just a sour, salty, not very good mop sauce. WTF guys? Add to the same pot all of the ingredients minus the salty parts (besides ketchup). Trash. Unsalvageable.
Maybe the guys at chefsteps like it that way? I go to amazingribs and see a completely different recipe (Kansas city). Great. Make it. It's a salt lick.
Take it out to a patron who owns a restaurant down the street a ways. She says it's awful. We're looking at meathead's recipe to try to figure it out and I'm like I don't get it! Unless someone took a funnel and filled my molasses bottle with.. salt...

Someone married the granulated salt with the granulated sugar. Just dumped it right on top. It's a bar, I'm the only cook.
