I was surprised at how good this is! I have gluten free friends coming for Thanksgiving and made the blender bread recipe and that was great alone, but in this recipe, it's a star. The bread holds it's own with all the liquid and the seasoning combination was perfect. I was going to make 2 different stuffing recipes but this one is so good and, in my opinion, better because it doesn't get mushy.
Make sure to use all the liquid called for. I was skeptical but I trust CS chefs and followed the recipe as written. It was soupy when I put it in the oven and perfection when I pulled it out.
If you want a delicious stuffing that is friendly for vegans, gluten free, etc., this will do the trick.

Since making this years ago for Thanksgiving, it is now my assigned, annual dish that I bring. I make it with butter, but I'm sure it's still great using vegan butter. The bread and fresh herbs is what really makes this dish...it's not just bread, but toasted rice bread! Toasted crunchy rice is coveted in many cultures, and the toasted bread in this dish embodies it.
